In general the procedure takes less than one hour. You will need appropriate anesthesia at a certified surgical center. If a lift is needed or special circumstances exist than the surgery will take longer.

How long will I be in pain after the surgery?
Pain can vary from patient to patient and also with implant size. Remember this is a surgical procedure so you will feel pain. It is however uncomfortable but not excessive pain you will feel. It's described as a pressure and burning by my patients and lasts about 24 hours. You will receive pain medication to make you comfortable. Lastly, there are trials going on now to study the use of Exparel for three day pain relief which is injected into the breast and muscle while you are sleeping and at the time of the operation. This would "numb" the surgical site for three consecutive days.

How many hours does breast implant surgery la...
My surgery time for breast augmentation is one hour. You will wake up in the recovery room and go home in about two to three hours. I like the crease incision for the pocket dissection and the use of sizers to allow the best fit for your silicone implant. Overall recovery takes about four weeks, but you will feel better in a couple of days.

What is the difference between gm's and cc'...
Focus on the volume or cc of the implant this will allow you to better achieve your goals. Remember the implants outside the body look larger than when you have a completed breast augmentation. So do not go too small and be too conservative.
